Post Processing Computational Engineering International (CEI) announced today an industry first with the latest release of EnSight DR, an extreme visualization tool that now allows users of distributed computing to accurately and rapidly render complex transparent objects.

The new distributed rendering technology breaks through significant computing barriers, making for fast and cost-effective transparent renderings that were once impractical in a distributed-computing environment. Scientists and engineers working with large and complex datasets can now take advantage of the new technology to visualize multiple transparent layers on any object.

Interview with Flomerics EFD Product Manager
Posted Wed February 14, 2007 @03:39PM

News MCAD Online recently interviewed Ivo Weinhold, EFD Product Manager, Flomerics, about embedding flow simulation in the mechanical design process and the company’s Engineering Fluid Dynamics (EFD) approach to CFD.
“Engineering Fluid Dynamics” (EFD) defines a new approach to fluid flow simulation that demands cost-effective, process-oriented CFD software that is fully embedded within the mainstream design environment. The EFD approach demands that simulation results are available as and when changes occur in the design cycle - only then can simulation play a central role in design decision-making and optimisation.
