At their recent International CFD Users Conference, ESI Group announced the release of the 2007 version of their CFD products.
ESI's Advanced CFD solutions include CFD-ACE+ for multidisciplinary and multi-physics simulation, CFD-FASTRAN for aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic simulation, and CFD-CAD alyzer for CAD integrated CFD simulation. Richard Thoms , CFD Product Manager says “The new physics in Version 2007 will strengthen our multiphysics capability and each new feature in Version 2007 is serially tested and validated to offer robust and reliable solution for our customers across the board. He continues “With the resounding positive feedback from our users in semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, fuel cell, MEMS and microfluidics industry, I am confident that Version 2007 will offer great business value to our customers.”

The Elmer Sperry Board of Award is pleased to announce that Antony Jameson, Thomas V. Jones Professor in the School of Engineering at Stanford University in Stanford, California, has been chosen to receive the 2006 Elmer A. Sperry Award.
The Elmer A. Sperry Award was established in 1955 to commemorate the life of Elmer A. Sperry, whose many inventions – including the gyroscope, the first electric automobile, and aid and sea navigational aids – contributed to the advancement of many modes of transportation. The award, consisting of a certificate and medal, will be presented to Jameson on January 7, 2007, in conjunction with the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting in Reno, Nevada.
