ALGOR, Inc. announced that its latest software release, ALGOR V19.2, features all-new enhancements for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Mechanical Event Simulation (MES). New features include the capability to model flow obstacles as distributed resistance parts, which can greatly simplify 3-D modeling; new surface-to-surface contact options (slide/no bounce contact and tied contact) for more realistic simulation and faster solving of MES applications such as a press-fit process; faster, industry-standard sparse solvers for linear dynamic analysis, static stress analysis and MES; and distributed memory processing for 32- and 64-bit Linux (Red Hat) for static stress analysis and MES. These and many more new V19.2 features provide ALGOR users with increased power, flexibility and ease-of-use for simulating engineering analyses of their product designs.
