Events: Reacting Flow with FLUENT/KINetics Training Course

Announcements Join us for a one-day training course on Reacting Flow Modeling designed for existing users of FLUENT. The focus of the course is using FLUENT in conjunction with Reaction Design's KINetics module, which offers a new way to model detailed gas-phase and surface chemistry within FLUENT 6.2.

The training course will be held on August 12, 2005, 9:00 am-5:30 pm. The class is offered as a third day of training following Reaction Design's introductory two day training on using CHEMKIN to solve reacting flow problems involving detailed kinetic mechanisms. Experienced CHEMKIN users may elect to sign up for only the FLUENT/KINetics portion of the course if they are already familiar with the material covered in the first two days of the course.

News NIKA GmbH, the leading provider of fluid flow and heat transfer simulation software for engineers, today announced the release of the latest generation of their Engineering Fluid Dynamics (EFD) product family. EFD.Lab, EFD.V5 for CATIA V5 and EFD.Pro for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire will feature the new EFD 6.0 engine.

Version 6.0 will offer new physical models that enable analysis of even more complicated designs, automatic interfaces to popular Finite Element Modeling (FEM) programs as well as a new postprocessor for analysis results visualization.

At $3900 for a perpetual license, CoolitPCB costs a small fraction of competing tools, yet there is no compromise in functionality. The software will enable the import of board designs from CAD and EDA software, perform testing for standard JEDEC forced, free convection, slots as well as custom setups.
