Help Desk ddunava writes "I realize this may be a simple question, but I need general feedback from the User Community about the feasibility of Design Engineers using CFD. We have a sister division that has decided to acquire a major CFD program for use by their Design Engineers, and our analysis group has strongly recommended against it. Please advise ASAP, thanks."

News Flow Science, Inc. has announced it has entered into an agreement with PV Engineering Co. for the latter firm to represent Flow Science’s FLOW-3D® computational fluid dynamics software in Greece for both sales and engineering consulting purposes.

Flow Science, Inc. is a privately-held software company specializing in high fidelity fluid dynamics modeling software for industrial and scientific applications worldwide.

Education: New Fluid Mechanics Textbook Draws on Fluent’s CFD Software and Examples

ANSYS FLUENT Fluent Inc., world leader in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and services, has announced its contribution to the new undergraduate engineering textbook by Yunus Çengel and John Cimbala; Fluid Mechanics: Fundamentals and Applications, published by McGraw-Hill Higher Education. This book is aimed at a college level syllabus for engineering students.

Professor Çengel, professor emeritus at the University of Nevada, has written three very successful textbooks in the area of thermal sciences, including the top-selling textbook on Thermodynamics. Professor Cimbala is an award-winning expert in Air Quality and Environmental Engineering at Penn State University.
