ParaVista is a state-of-the-art visualization software system that operates on an entire set of parametric analysis data files rather than just a single steady-state solution. The McLaren team utilizes two Sun Technical Compute Farm (Sun TCF) systems for their number-crunching power. With the Sun TCF systems, this can now be completed in just three days, a huge competitive advantage when compared to the several weeks that the analysis required in the past.

The practical advantage of this extra capability was dramatically illustrated last season when the all important front wing was completely re-designed, tested, manufactured and fitted to the car during a two-week interlude between Grand Prix races.
