Automotive lighting’s geometry complexity continues to push limits and the physics necessary in thermal simulations is challenging both engineers and their CFD software.

In this presentation you will learn:

  • The complexity of automotive lighting geometry
  • The necessary physics in CFD simulations for automotive lights
  • What CAD embedded CFD means to automotive lighting engineers
  • What thermal & radiometric characterization has to do with automotive lighting

In addition, LEDs, Xenon and OLED will be discussed. LASER light sources will be touched on, as well as condensation, icing, and radiation with solar loading.
